ESRB Ratings This Week! New Dynasty Warriors Game Gets T For Cleavage, Jiggling Action

The ESRB has rated last week two major Japanese games that will be coming out in the days to come. Let’s start with Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends. Despite the way the rating mentioned “breasts” and “cleavage”, the game still manage to get a T rating:

“Cutscenes occasionally depict characters being struck and killed by swords or arrows. During the course of the game, some female characters are depicted in outfits that expose large amounts of cleavage and/or buttocks; their breasts sometimes jiggle while jumping and performing attacks. The game also contains several alcohol references in the dialogue”

dark souls 2

On the other hand, the highly popular Dark Souls gets a T rating as well for partial exposure:

“Some locations depict instances of blood and gore: a giant snake boss holding its severed head; a giant boss creature composed of hundreds of corpses; dead ogres near a pool of blood; a torture device with streaks of blood. During the course of the game, a boss creature appears partially topless (e.g. hair barely covering breasts).”

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends is coming to the PS4 this March 2014 and April 2014 in US and Europe while Dark Souls II will be on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC this March 2014

  1. The ERSB’s tough stance on sex is screwing things up for the USA and other regions too. For Monster Monpiece we get a censored game because of skimpy outfits. It’s funny how the game gets a mature rating in the States and a 12 rating in Europe.
